Special Ethics Education (SEE) is a secular alternative to scripture classes available to all students who have nominated Non-Scripture. We currently have ethics education classes available for students in year 1 and 2.
The focus is on the discussion of ethical issues, both personal and social, which allows students to better understand and develop such crucial skills as empathy, tolerance and respect. Moreover, this process of ethical enquiry will develop students' critical thinking skills, which are vital to any academic endeavour.
Information on the curriculum and teaching methods / qualifications is available at primaryethics.com.au
If you want your child to do SEE, please notify the school in writing.
Please note, however, that we can only provide these classes to students if we have sufficient volunteers willing to undergo the necessary teacher-training. If you are interested in doing this rewarding work, please contact our SRE and SEE coordinator via the school.
