The Department of Education School Swimming and Water Safety Program is an intensive learn to swim program, which develops water confidence and provides students with basic skills in water safety and survival. The program is conducted over 10 days. Each daily lesson is 45 minutes. Students who have not reached a satisfactory standard of water safety and survival skills, and are unable to swim 25m confidently unaided with correct technique in deep water, are eligible to participate in the School Swimming and Water Safety Program. Swimming costume to be worn under school uniform. School shoes and socks must be worn. No thongs or sandals are permitted. Students will change out of their swimming costume at the conclusion of the lessons each day.

Created by teachers, this interactive performance skillfully weaves through the literacy and numeracy curriculum, sprinkling in a healthy dose of teamwork, social skills and emotional wellbeing. The big friendly tiger and his pocket rocket bestie are ready to rock the house in a performance that’s a perfect blend of music, education and entertainment. So, dust off your tiger ears, refresh those favourite lyrics and ready yourself for a performance that’s downright unforgettable.

Stage 1 (Years 1 & 2) will be travelling to Stanwell Park Beach Reserve. In our geography unit students describe the natural features of different places, including the weather and seasons.Students investigate how places are managed and cared for and discuss the connections people have to different places. Permission notes and payment are due by Thursday 14 November, 2024.

Stage 3 students are invited to attend Jamberoo Action Park as an end-of-year excursion. This day has been allocated specifically to primary schools. Students will undertake a swim survival challenge at Jamberoo before being able to participate in the events in the park. If the student has been identified as a non-swimmer they will be issued with a non-swimmer band. Permission and payments are due by Wednesday 20 November. Season passes are able to be used and must be indicated on the permission note.
